We've secured a new panelist to join our Peer Media event in Palo Alto on February 23rd.
Fresh off her keynote session at the Evans Data Developer Conference, Laura Bennett of IBM will join us to discuss how social networking tools including blogs, wikis and RSS can be used to build a community of developers. IBM has done this very successfully and Laura leads this effort for developerWorks.
Laura Bennett is a Senior Software Engineering Manager with the IBM Developer Communities. Laura joined IBM in 1989 as an engineer at the Almaden Research Lab in San Jose, CA. She moved with her family to Raleigh, NC in 1993, where she held many development positions on the Common User Access (CUA) group, CSet++ Libraries, ISPF and WebSphere Studio projects. She joined developerWorks in 1999 and has been managing the Portal Applications team responsible for many of the tools and services available to users on the site. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science from Pace University, NY, a Masters of Science from Columbia Universityand an MBA from Duke University. Laura has published technical articles and presented at various conferences including WebSphere Developer and IBM Women in Technology Conferences.
